WHY WE ARE HERE
casey Peavler
On July 10, 2022 Casey was riding an electric skateboard with a hand held throttle. Something happened to make the skateboard lurch forward, and without a helmet on, he came off the back of it hitting his head on the asphalt covered ground. His friend and friend’s son, who were with him at the time, quickly called 911. When the paramedics arrived Casey was without a heartbeat and not breathing. For 30 minutes they worked on him until they were able to get his heart started again then rushed him to Logan Regional Hospital. From there he was put on life support and sent by lifeflight to the trauma ward in the Ogden Regional Medical Center. On July 11, 2022 at 5:13 pm Casey, surrounded by friends and family, was pronounced dead from a traumatic brain injury.
The Birth Of Peaved Stickers
While friends and Family members gathered in the Hospital. The discussion of why it is that very few people are wearing helmets, came up. The conclusion for us was that “it just isn’t cool to wear a helmet”. Peer pressure drives us to want to be like the people we looked up to as kids. So The next question was how can we get people to want to wear helmets? From that question the Peaved sticker was born. It is an awesome sticker to be worn on your helmet to show support. So like when its cold outside you put a jacket on. When you ride the first thing you should put on is a helmet with a Peaved sticker. order yours today and join us in our fight against Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Why Peaved?
Like the yellow ribbon that shows support for a loved one coming home. We wanted to create an icon showing our support for wearing helmets. Because we are peeved that Casey died for no other reason then not wearing his helmet. We shortened his last name and changed peeved to Peaved.
